We have just released a new EP called ‘Orphan Spirit’ on September 13th. The feature track, ‘Orphan Spirit’, has a bouncy 1960’s surf-rock groove and sexy French female vocals. Think Tarantino soundtracks, Francoise Hardy, early B-52s. Each track has its unique flavour: ‘Walk-a-mile-blues’ is a soulful traveller’s blues ballad with a cinematic road-movie / Tom Waits feel that was inspired by the band’s tour of Europe. ‘Wake the World’ is a kooky psychedelic pop-rock apocalyptic love song with shades of the 90’s sound (Beck etc). ‘Orphan Spirit Joshua Isaac Dance Remix’ finishes off the EP with vocal cut-ups in fine dance-party mode.

We’re so excited to be collaborating with one of Australia’s best artists, Jumaadi, he’s making the paper cut outs for this new animated clip of our song “Mon esprit orphelin”. The ever so talented animator Sarah Eddowes will be compositing Jumaadi’s images.
Would you like to join the collaborating party? We would love your support in every possible way.
Get in touch and pledge if you can, with your support we’ll give flight to the orphan spirit and release this clip to the world.
My Sauce Good are releasing a new single very very soon with the help of a crowd funding campaign that will launch in just a few days.
The song, “Mon esprit orphelin”, written by Dirk Kruithof and Laura Brozky, features our new sound which we have labelled Continental Boogie. The song speaks of an ‘orphan spirit’ who befriends a girl who teaches him to fly and helps him reach his destination.
A regular video clip would not do the song justice so we decided to team up with an exquisite artist/shadow puppeteer Jumaadi and a very talented animator/compositor, Sarah Eddowes. Together we will be creating My Sauce Good’s first ever video clip.
The project was born when Laura, the singer met Jumaadi at a Multicultural arts forum. Laura later saw Jumaadi’s artwork on his website and noticed his flying creatures, just like the ones in this song! She realised she had to collaborate with him on this dream video clip.
Sarah joined the team with a pair of angelic wings and is going to metamorphose our vision into reality.
We’d like to extend the invitation to YOU to come FLY with us and give flight to l’esprit orphelin. Your contributions will be our fuel to complete this project.
Oh one more thing…. You’re welcome to suggest a reward for this campaign on our facebook
